Lisa Murphy, M.S
Lisa Murphy, M.S. in Psychology, is a mindfulness and self-compassion practitioner who is passionate about helping others develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves. Her journey into self-compassion began after reading Kristin Neff's Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself, a book that inspired her to begin practicing self-compassion in her own life.
In 2024, Lisa attended a Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Intensive and came away with "a full heart" inspired to share this powerful practice with others. She is currently completing the Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher Training.
Lisa believes that self-compassion is both an innate capacity and a skill we can intentionally cultivate. She has facilitated introductory self-compassion workshops for community groups and in her role as an Addiction Recovery Peer Advocate. She has seen how this practice helps people meet themselves with greater kindness, care, and resilience even during life's most difficult moments.
Lisa is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and brave space where everyone is invited to explore self-compassion at their own pace. She is delighted to co-teach the 8-Week Mindful Self-Compassion Course with Mollie.
